Appendum

Well the response to Freeman's Mind so far is much more positive than what I was expecting. I've put up a poll to get some idea of what people think, so go ahead and vote on it. Oh, and that's a true story about the squirrel by the way, except instead of MIT it was at Virginia Tech back in the 70's.

Eh, poor squirrel. Not a pleasant death, but I'm glad to see it's pretty positive.

Looks like you should keep making them :D

I really think you should try it with half-life 2 ... Maybe just because I've played that already, but it seems so much more funny (and closer to civil protection anyway)... I can think of possible jokes very easily that have to do with the physics engine. Like you could have some puzzle that's really easy but Freeman thinks he needs to do something more complicated. For instance stack up 5 barrels like a ladder to get to a pipe when you really only have to turn a pipe crank and release more water, filling up the tank (true story for me, god that was frustrating) ;) You could do it in fast motion or something...

Or he could just freak out about the Citadel's stuff... etc. Anyway, it sounds great!

The good thing about the Freeman's Mind series is that it is easier to make than CP so it would be a good filler for the time between each episode of Civil Protection.

Well, I do so enjoy pushing buttons, so option 2 was tempting, but in the interest of seeing this series continue, I put that aside and chose option 1.

Incidentally, that squirrel story was one of the best things about this episode.

I liked it, but I think you should definitely fastforward or skip past places where you can't come up with jokes. I got kind of bored sitting and waiting for him to say something.

But yeah, definitely continue, as long you come with great stuff like "AWESOME! A ROBOT! Robot's are the only friends I need. Pneumatics rule."

Lovely fucking series you've got in CP, and FM would be a great sister series.

I am Ninja.

Hey Ross, well the yes votes keep comin! Think you're on to a winning idea here. But, don't loose sight of CP, because if that were to die a premature death, I think everyone would consider it a great loss... they'd call it CP remembrance day.. yes I am a little drunk as I write this.. if you hadn't already guessed! Keep up the good work dude!

You should like add portal stuff with CP later. But freeman mind is pretty cool.

Will: I only had silence because the announcer was talking during that time. There will be a minimum of that of that in future episodes

gavin: I guess so, but then it leaves people who haven't played the games more lost, since it is a sequel afterall.

colonel bob: The downside is that it takes time away from CP, so it's a real toss-up.

karanjhala guy: Your grammar needs help man. And yes, that's my normal voice, I try to use a different voice for Mike's for distinction, though it's tricky.

Impersonator: Don't worry, FM will die before CP will, however it could stall it.

hlfan: I planned to before it was even out, however I already have 2 unfinished CP episodes as it is.

I have very fond memories of Half life, so that a big reason why I like this, but even then, I like that you took something like going through the game into something like this. Even without the fondness, this is some funny stuff with Freeman as your puppet and mouthpiece. If you did this more, I'm sure you would get better too. I think you should still do Civil protection equally as much though.

HL 1 is one of the very, very, ridiculously few FPS games I have actually completed. You'd get a bit more variation yourself, from working on both projects, right? Which means there's a significantly(hopefully) smaller chance it'll turn into too much of a chore.

I was very skeptical, the idea seemed... boring, in truth. Not just boring, but somehow pretentious. But fret not, I love it. There's an endless amount of scenes I'd love to hear "Freeman" comment, I doubt anyone else could actually do it that well. Or even halfway. I was thoroughly amused...

Oh yeah, I still drop by. Keep up the good work, make sure it's fun for you, you've got what it takes. :D But anyway, thank you. You're a superb entertainer.

well i think you should continue on civil protection, its more original and funny....

Well done... keep it up.

That's crazy you mention the VT squirrel, the ones on campus seem to be the dumbest ones around... matter of time, I guess.

If you find yourself in Blacksburg sometime soon, I owe you a beer for all the hard work you're doing.

Brilliant! This is really my kind of humor, very funny. Really hope to see more of this, hehe. Thanks for minutes of laughing!
