I changed my mind, I'm not doing any more Freeman's Mind; it's over. I've realized there's no way I'll be able to think up enough material to get through the rest of the game. Enjoy the last episode; it's kind of short, hence the half mark.

ReplyDeleteMan...and I had something to look forward to lately. You should return to it later on. New material comes at the most random times. Well, if you do pick up where it left off you could make it so that he doesn't jump onto the ladder (by the way, that was pretty predictable). Civil Protection is cool and all, but Freeman's Mind was just...just...just everything we think about work and stuff only voiced. Dude, take it from a fellow writer; if you let go of Freeman's Mind and don't continue it you'll be pretty upset when you spontaneously come up with new material and then you have to think "Shit, I killed him off so long ago. To redo it would be awkward." I've gone through that myself and I'm sure you will go through it too if you discontinue the series. Just take a break for a while and return to it later. However, it does give you more time to work on more Civil Protection episodes. Then again, isn't there an old saying that goes "Give the people what they want"? Eh, I don't know who said it, but I would stick to that if I were you. Just go back to the series later on. If you don't, oh well...but you'll regret it at some point. Just give it a second chance, man.

ReplyDeleteI wondered when you started this if you were really going to sit through the whole game and do dialogue for all of the game it takes like 8 hours to play through the first time and a lot of it is constant fighting. Just a suggestion if you do continue the series (Which I think would be awesome because I think its hilarious) I think it would be easier to just abbreviate the game or maybe do a montage of fighting when it comes to a hard bit i mean Hollywood does it why not you? I personally would just leave in major plot events like the satellite launch, killing the monster in the rocket test bay, and all the boss fights plus maybe the introduction of new creatures. If you just focus the episodes around these im sure you can think up plenty of material and everything between what you decide is a main event can just be filler on either side of an episode to make them look more connected.
